1.Why should I have JJ Travel Associates plan my trip?
All the reasons boil down to one: traveling is expensive and you should get the best value for the price. We’ll use the knowledge we’ve gained over years of our personal travels, client travel experiences, and training, to ensure you have an unforgettable vacation.
2. How do I know which planning option is best for me?
Two questions determine which planning option you should choose. One, are you planning to take a cruise? And two, do you enjoy doing your own research?
At the moment the Book It Yourself option is only available for cruises. As for the second question, if you’re interested in a cruise and you’re the type of person who likes to do your own research, shop and book online, and do it on your own timeline, Book It Yourself is a great option.
3. Can I start booking on my own and switch to full service?
Deciding on the best option can be overwhelming and confusing; a lot of our travelers begin their research online — some even choose the vacation they want — then call and have us make the reservation. You should know that when you book it yourself, the moment that reservation is made you automatically switch to “full service” and have us as your partner.
4. What type of service and services can I expect when I Book It Yourself or full service?
Both options end at the same place, with two people, Jen and Joel, who know every detail of your vacation, answer all your questions, make necessary arrangements, and give you advice.
If you choose to book it yourself that level of service begins as soon as you make a reservation.
If you choose the full service option, your process begins with a Vacation Planning Call during which we’ll discuss your ideal vacation, talk about past experiences, and gather as much information as we can. After that call, we begin building your intinerary, schedule a time to present it to you, and make any necessary changes until it’s perfect.

Book It Yourself
Are prices competitive?
Cruise lines set the prices; it’s a level playing field; all websites (including the cruise line sites) and travel agents have the same prices.
Choose where you book your cruise based on the quality of customer service and the value added perks offered.
How do I find the deals?
When you decide to book it yourself and browse our website, you’ll see the current cruise line sales all on one site making it easy to shop more than one cruise line. Special perks and offers will be listed, too.
How do I get help before booking?
Call us: 844-483-6669. Even if you’re taking advantage of the convenience Book It Yourself provides, we are here to assist you at any point during the booking process.
What happens after I book my cruise?
When you book it yourself your reservation is active with the cruise line immediately and you’ll receive an automated confirmation by email.
You’ll receive a call from either Jennifer or Joel within a few hours (between 9am and 9pm Eastern) welcoming you as the newest traveler in the JJ Travel Associates family.
Can I make changes after booking?
Change policies and penalties are dictated by the cruise line. If you need to make changes to your reservation, we’re here to assist you.
Full Service Planning
Who should choose full service planning?
Full service planning is for the person who is overwhelmed by the number of choices and details, doesn’t want to miss out on any activities or must see attractions, doesn’t trust online reviews, doesn’t have the time to plan a vacation, and wants to get the most value and best experience for their money.
What trips qualify for full service planning?
Full service planning is available for ocean, river, and expedition cruises; all-inclusive resorts; tours; Disney; and fully custom independent travel.
How personalized are the itineraries?
Independent travel itineraries are fully custom, personalized specifically for you.
Other types of travel — cruises, tours, and all inclusive resorts — are not as customizable. We find ways to add activities and other experiences where possible to make your vacation more specific to your interests.
What is the booking process?
First you’ll schedule a vacation planning call where we’ll talk about your ideas for a vacation, your interests, travel parameters, and budget. After that call we’ll have the information needed to build an itinerary. Our next call will be to go over all the details of the plan and discuss any revisions.
Once the itinerary is perfect, we’ll make all the reservations and keep track of all the details until it’s time to travel. As your travel date approaches, we reconfirm all the reservations and deliver your travel documents.
